No, dust dirt and debris still accumulate on the panels, The angle of the solar panels on your roof is not much different then the angle of the windshield of your car, however solar panels do not have windshield wipers to clean them.
How often should I have my solar panels cleaned?
In most residential areas having your solar panels cleaned at least once a year will keep your system operating at peak performance. Although, if you live in coastal areas the build up of salt may reduce the time your solar panels stay clean. Also, living near a highway or in a farming/industrial region may also require you to have your panels cleaned more frequently.
